Will my Audi take a APR ECU performance chip?

Car: Audi, A4, 2006     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Audi Repair Manuals

Q.Will a 2006 Audi A4 covertable FWD with 1.8T take a APR ECU performance chip?
Does it improve mileage and performance?

Answer There is no such thing ans adding performance AND getting better fuel millage. Fortunately, when you feel the difference that the chip makes in overall horsepower you will forget all about the 5 or so miles per gallon you will be losing over a stock engine.
Happy motoring and remember: Keep it rubber side down.

Addition Are u sure there is a APR chip for a 2006 1.8T?
I could not find one on the web for a 2006 Audi. Also, assuming you DO recommend the chip for much better performance. Is one chip better than another? I have seen them for $79 and up to $699.

Answer Don't buy the $79 chip. And as far as I know APR makes software for all AUDIs and is hands down the best and most reliable software on the market.

Addition still dont know if there is a chip for a 2006 1.8T; can u confirm with a specific part number?
Most listings only have the chip for 2000 and 2001 listed.

More Info required There is most likely not a chip you have to contact APR you either have to send in you ECM or go to a shop that is an APR approved installer.
