More Info required what size engine? How much did you plan on spending?

Addition Reply to Sam C.'s Post: Its a 302 and its not high output. Between 1000-1500.

Answer I would do a ECU power programmer, cold air intake and an exhaust for it. This would give you 20-30 HP and better throttle response.

Addition I cant seem to find an air intake for the 88. K&n doesn't make one and niether does anyone else that I can find. Any ideas? Do superchargers totally kill the gas mileage and the engine?

Answer I would have to check and see if anyone does make one, to be honest I don't think I have ever fit one to a 98 crown victoria. I know that they do have replacement elements available, you might have to end up doing that.
Superchargers I see and install a lot of. If tuned correctly and operated responsibly, I see no issues with having one installed. I have customers with over 100,000 miles and supercharger installed that are still driving around. As for gas mileage, as long as you dont bury your foot in the throttle alot your mileage will not suffer more than a mile or two to the gallon.

Addition Can you recomend a particular model supercharger for the the 88 crown vic that might work the best for that engine?

Answer well I looked everywhere and I could not find a s/c kit specifically for a crown vic. I have heard of people fitting mustang kits to crown vics since they are somewhat close.
I am a fan of the positive displacement style (kenne bell, eaton) supercharger. The amount of low end grunt where 90% of daily driving occurs is favorable compared to a centrifugal style (vortech, paxton) which makes all its power on the mid to top end. The centrifugal is a bit cheaper and easier to package, but if you are going through the trouble of supercharging, might as well get something that makes sense. Now if you are planning on actuall racing regularly, the top end charge of the centrifugal might be the way to go. It depends on what your realistic needs are.
