The wires on the back of the front driver's side turn signal bulb have fallen off.

Q.The wires on the back of the front driver's side turn signal bulb have fallen off. There are three of them, green, red & black.
I guessed when reconnecting them & my turn signals work, but the dashboard lights and rear running lights do not work now. I checked the fuses to be sure I didn't short anything out when playing with the wires. The fuses are fine. Which order are the wires supposed to go back? How do I get my other lights to work again?

Answer Here isw the wiring diagram for the driver side turn signal. This should get ya going again.

Addition Although the diagram was helpful in making sure the wiring was correct, it did not solve the problem of my other lights not working. My left turn signal was working fine until I took off the wires and replaced them, just to be sure they were correct. Now both front and back lights work, but blink fast.
My tail lights still do not work and neither do the lights on my dash. I played with the dimmer switch on the dash...that's not the problem. My break and reverse lights work fine, so the bulbs are not burnt out. Any other suggestions?

Answer When the lights blink fast like that it is usually a sign of a ground issue, however the turnsignal flasher will bo the exact same thing, so you might want to consider replacing the flasher.

Addition Any ideas on why the other lights don't work??

More Info required It gets back to the ground being the issue. You will just to have to take and test all ground connections, especially body to engine ground, this would seem to make sense if it is affecting all of the lights. Start at the battery and work you way through the ground circuit, it's painstaking, but most electrical issues are.

Addition :) Okay, I understand what you're saying. Unfortunately, I've never done anything like that & just have the owner's manual that came with the vehicle. Is this a simple procedure I could do with a Haynes book or would you suggest I take my car to an expert?

Answer You can do as much of a visual inspection as you possibly can first. The most likely area will be at the ground located as shown in the pic above. It is on the left front of engine compartment. Other than that, you might just have to take it in. Sorry i cant pinpoint it for ya, but there are too many posibilities

Addition I'll give that a try. I'm guessing that a ground is black wire screwed to the metal frame of the car?

Answer Yes, start at the battery and you will see a separate smaller wire coming off of the negative post, it should go over to the fender, start by removing the bolt and clean the contact areas with a wire brush or something to scratch it up with. Then look for the same kind of ground wires that may be attached in the same way.
Best of luck my friend!
