Answer At the radiator fan coolant temperature switch located in the bottom of the radiator, disconnect the switch and check to see if the fans will operate with the key on, they should. With the engine warmed up and running, monitor the radiator temperature. Check the temperature at the inlet side of the radiator and the outlet side of the radiator. The temperatures should be the same all the way across the radiator, if they are the temp switch is bad, the switch is not working. If they are not replace the radiator with a high quality radiator.

Addition Thanks. I'll give that a try. How big a job is it to replace the coolant temperature switch? Can you give me a general idea what is involved? What should it cost if I have the work done in a reputable shop?

Answer Part OEM Part Price
Radiator Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor / Switch
Fan Switch 8942933010 $90.03

Radiator Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor / Switch
Replace B 0.8 1.1

It calls for an hour but it does just screw in to te bottom of the radiator, just make sure the coolant is not hot!!!!!
Parts and labor at a shop should run around $150-$200
