What is the best way to bring this vehicle back to life?

Car: Acura, Integra, 1995     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Acura Integra Repair Manuals

Q.My 95 Hatchback went into the garage 1 year ago. I replaced the battery because it had died. I know that I need to change all of my fluids and filters. As well as check over the entire vehicle. (the car has a 90-93 Acura LS Integra non-vtec motor) What is the best way to bring this vehicle back to life? What should I watch out for?

Answer honestly you hit the nail on the head as long as the car was running fine when it went away it should still be ok. I would simply change all the fluids and maybe the plugs since it has been sitting for a while but otherwise it should still bo ok as long as it was running fine i would just start it and let it run for abit as the ecm my need to find its idle again since the battery was replaced but other then that you should be good to go....

Addition Should I have to worry about the quality of the gas in the tank? I've read that gas starts to chemically break down after a year of sitting inactive. I was going to drain the gas and replace the fuel filter.

Addition Also should I have to worry the old fluids damaging the motor?

Answer sorry fo rthe delay. For the fuel the only concern i would have is everything being gummed up. Was the car stored in dorrs or outdoors. If indoors then I would simply add a bit of octane booster and injector cleaner for the first few tank fulls to clean up any gum that may be in the intake and what not. And I told you in my other posts to change all the fluids and maybe the plugs depending on how old they are...
