Car: Volvo, 850, 1994 - Back to Fix-It - Volvo Repair Manuals
Q.I have codes A1- 114,124,143 on 94 volvo 850,
how can I fix ?
Thanks.
More Info required What do you mean by A1? Was the diagnostic cable plugged into terminal 2 or 6?
Is this a turbo or non turbo?
Code 114 and 124 is not listed in the DTC table. Can you reconfirm?
Code 143 is a fault with the Knock Sensor and turbo and non turbo has different diagnostic procedures.
Addition A1 means unit A pluged into #1, This is non turbo engine.
Thanks.
Answer That is the auto trans diagnostic circuit.
1-1-4 = Mode selector switch circuit malfunction.
1-2-4 = Short to ground in mode selector switch circuit.
Test the switch and wiring for continuity or shorting through the various selected positions.
1-4-3 = Short to ground in kickdown switch circuit.
Seems you might have a wire harness circuit problem.
