Q.I have a 97 prelude that won't start. no spark.

It started once about a month ago and then again a week ago. Both times i did nothing to it. it just wouldn't start after those two times. computer. no codes. Have you ever come acroos this problem? any suggestions appreciated. 2.2 V Tech and Tip tronic 4 speed auto George.

Does the black with yellow wire at the distributor have power to ground with the key on?
Addition I tested all the wires going into the distributor for power and ground and they were within specs. I don't recall if the key was on. The car is not here now so I can't check again.
Answer If you have 12 volts at the black with yellow and the distributor is turning and have no spark, your looking at a problem with the crankshaft sensor on the timing belt sproket for the crank shaft. I would try replacing those parts.
