After I got jumped off two electric items stopped working
Car: Honda, Pilot EX-L, 2007 - Back to Fix-It - Honda Repair Manuals
Q.I had to get jumped this morning to start my car, after I got jumped off two electric items stopped working, the driver side auto window switch (raises the window automatically ALL the way up and ALL the way down with one command) and the DVD player picture.
We can hear the DVD but the actual screen was blank along with control panel was not lit. I think this has to do with a fuse (at least I hope). Do you agree? If so, where is the fuse for the DVD, we can't locate it in the owners manual? thanks.
Answer Ok unfortunately the dvd screen is not a fuse it usually the printd ribbon tape going to the screen that goes bad. As for the window thats simple. Hold the switch all the way down and continue to hold the switch for 3 seconds. Then roll it up and hold the switch for 3 seconds in the up position. This will reset the auto feature.
Addition ironic that the dvd was working before i jumped the vehicle this morning, could the jump have damaged the dvd printed ribbon? How much do you think i'll have to pay to get this repaired? Ball park?
Answer Ok its possible or just a coincedence, try closing then opening the screen fulley. Since the car is not even 3 years old it most likely will be covered under a goodwill repair. Also if you have extended warranty it will be covered. If the dealer says no contact American Honda and see if they will help out im sure they will.
