I want to change the coil packs on my 2006 Charger Hemi
Car: Dodge, Charger, 2006 - Back to Fix-It - Dodge Repair Manuals
Q.I want to change the coil packs on my 2006 Charger Hemi... and while I am at it I want to change the spark plugs (that state they don't need gapped because of the 4 tips instead of two.
Answer I am attaching the directions to do this repair.
A separate ignition coil (1), mounted to the valve cover is used for each cylinder. Each coil fires the two spark plugs at times predetermined by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Unlock electrical connector (1) by pressing on tab while pulling electrical connector from coil.
Remove two coil mounting bolts (3).
Carefully pull up coil from cylinder head opening with a slight twisting action. Twisting will help break loose boots (1) from spark plugs.
Addition Really good stuff. This is my first time doing this with a Hemi. So my only question left is:
Are the spark plugs under the coil packs. I am used to those hard to reach types of engines with the spark plugs easy to find since you could just trace the wire back to the plug.
Answer Yes, look at picture three. They are under there.
