Car stalls-out repeatedly
Car: Subaru, Outback, 1996, 2.2L - Back to Fix-It - Subaru Repair Manuals
Q.96 Outback 2.2L auto stalls out repeatedly. Even when warm.
More Info required Is the check engine light on? Does it happen when stopped like at a light?
Addition Yes, the light is on all the time now, but before it went on when the engine died. It happens at any time or any speed. No rhyme or reason.
Addition what do we do if that is the problem?
Addition and if the cose does not indicate the sensor? What could it be? This car has been a total lemon. WE had to replace the engine (Jasper) 3 or 4 yrs ago. The engine is still under warranty, Is this deep inside the crankcase?
Answer not likely in the crank case. Could also be a bad wire to the ecm or a problem with the ignition switch. Best to start with the codes though.
