Drivers side electric lock will not lock
Car: Honda, Civic, 2001, 4 CYLINDER - Back to Fix-It - Honda Civic Repair Manuals
Q.2001 honda civic and drivers side electric lock will not lock, checked fuse & it is okay, any ideas.
More Info required Does it unlock and make abnormal noise when it operates. Is this the only lock that malfunctions?
Addition It doesn't make any noise. The other three locks will work "manually." This one won't push down manually or lock manually. When you turn the key to lock it, it turns but nothing happens.
Answer Ok the problem is the drivers side door lock actuator that has failed. You need to have the door panel removed along with the latch to replace the actuator. About 200 parts and labor.
